Bespoke Shepherds Hut – 25′ x 8′

Approaching the hut you are immediately drawn to the purest cladding we have ever seen, with it’s clean lines, beautiful colour, hidden nail fitting and beautifully detailed trims with no imperfections in sight. Comparing the cladding to other popular timber choices including British Cedar, larch & softwood we would challenge anyone to disagree that this hut really stands out from the crowd.

Access to the hut is through handmade 2/3 glazed French doors with double glazing & beautifully crafted black ironmongery immediately stepping in to the living area with oak LVT flooring flowing throughout the whole hut.. We made the choice to go with LVT flooring as it offers much lower maintenance, is 100% waterproof and the underfoot feel is significantly warmer than typical flooring choices. Perfect for a bare foot dash to the en-suite in the middle of the night.

Lighting and the use of natural light is always a massive consideration when designing any huts as capturing the panoramas or watching the sun rise or set from the hut is quite possibly one of the best experiences available, so we always look to flood our builds with natural light. We then accompany this with a thorough lighting plan and this build is no different with 3 independently controlled zones Living, Bedroom & En-Suite. The main lighting is supplied via recessed fire rated LED lighting in the ceiling which is dimmable, we also have wall lighting above the settee and bed again each area independently controlled to allow you guests to create the perfect atmosphere.

At the rear of the hut is a bedroom area partially sectioned off from the living area with handmade living edge headboard with charging points and electrical sockets provided for both guests in their own niches. Two large underbed storage drawers are also provided with double extending runners, perfect for additional bedding, linen or clothes. At the foot of the bed is a large double window, with side opener allowing the area to be aired during the summer months. All windows feature double glazed units, black monkey tail ironmongery and handcrafted living edge timber cills.

The living area features a free standing large 2 seater Chesterfield style settee, wall mounted 42″ smart television (which can also be viewed comfortably from the bedroom) and wood burning stove nestled into a tiled surround with exposed twin wall flue exiting through the custom made roof

The kitchen is packed with integrated appliances featuring a full height larder unit housing the electrical consumer unit, below an integrated microwave grill oven offers guests the perfect opportunity to prepare food with a 2 zone induction hob mounted in the adjoining worktop. We’ve also included a Belfast style sink with a 10L instant hot water heater fitted inside the cabinet below. Integrated undercounted fridge with freezer box means guests can keep fresh food chilled and even offers an opportunity to store some ice creams for when the warmer months arrive. 3 large pan drawers allow for plenty of storage alongside a medium depth drawer for utensils and finally a cutlery drawer above. Your guests are not going to be short of space!! Opposite the kitchen we have fitted a breakfast bar offering seating for 2 adults comfortably with another double window above to allow them to take in the views whilst enjoying their breakfast of evening meal.

Entering the En-Suite at the front of the chassis you slide what can only be described as a piece of art along the barn door style track. We have created a truly unique emerald green resin and timber river door the like of which we’ve never seen used in a Shepherds hut (or even house) before this really offers that high end luxury feeling. The En-Suite offers a fully flushing toilet to your left, wall hung hand basin and vanity unit below the window and shower enclosure with power shower to your right. Topped off with an electric towel radiator.

If you look up at any point you’ll see our in house designed and handcrafted exposed rafters and ridge board, paired with v groove t&g cladding above.

The walls throughout are wood panel effect to the lower half prepared and painted in farrow & ball paint with a subtle timber dado rail separating it from the vertical timber cladding above. Painted white to offer a fresh feeling throughout.
